Liu Zaifu＇s aesthetic thought is an important historical coordinate of the development of Chinese aesthetics of literature and art in the new era.He reintroduced theslogan of＂Human Literature＂which had been interrupted from the Debate of Chinese Proletariat Revolution Literature in 1928 to the Cultural Revolution.He combined the painful lessons of China＇s modern and contemporary history and made in-depth excavation of the depth of human nature and emotional characteristics of literature, which marked the return and promotion of May Fourth ＂human literature＂and its aesthetic law. Liu Zaifu＇s literary aesthetics is mainly reflected in the following four points：1. reflections on the relationship between man and literature; 2.emphasis on the subjectivity of people, opposing materialism and godism;3. emphasizing the duality and integrity of characters and opposing the single-class of any character;4. on the aesthetic characteristics of literature and art-an analysis of emotional characteristics. In the new era,it is of important practical implications and significance to summarize and review Liu Zaifu＇s literary aesthetics.
