Damp-heat diseases refers to the general term of many diseases caused by damp-heat pathogenic factors, and it can be seen in both exogenous diseases and miscellaneous internal damage diseases. As a common clinical disease, it has become the research hotspot in the field of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, because of its slow onset, long disease course and hard to be cured. National famous TCM expert SHENG Zeng-xiu has been engaged in clinical and scientific research of TCM for more than 50 years. He has profound theoretical knowledge and rich clinical experience in the treatment of damp-heat diseases, and the curative effects are excellent. The clinical experience of SHENG Zeng-xiu in the treatment of damp- heat diseases was introduced to provide reference for the treatment of damp-heat diseases in modern clinical.He thinks that it is important to distinguish between ＇damp＇ and ＇heat＇ at the beginning of clinical practice,and take tongue coating and urine as the focus of differentiation of symptoms and signs. He also puts forward four main points of treatment that includes dispersing the lung qi for removing the moisture easily,transporting the spleen and stomach for adjusting the ascending and descending, separating the damp and heat for treating the disease easily promoting urine excretion for giving a way to the pathogen.It is hoped to provide reference for the treatment of damp heat disease in modern clinical.
