贬抑性构式“好个NP”英译主观化研究——基于杨译、霍译《红楼梦》的对比分析

Subjectification Study of Derogatory Construction “好个NP” and Its Translation: A Comparative Analysis between A Dream of Red Mention Translated by Yang Xianyi and Hawks

中国古典四大名著之一《红楼梦》涵盖众多语言现象,其中贬抑性构式独树一帜。"好个NP"家族就属于此类构式,通过构式语法分析,发现其通常在句法结构上突出可及性,情感表征上体现贬抑性。对比杨、霍两种译本分析后认为,译者使用偏重形式或意义的策略主观化复现"好个NP"家族中各类信息。构式在双语特征背景下为译者展示了多个近义备选项,而译者通常依照自身认知进行选择,决定信息重要度的排序。

There are various language phenomenons in A Dream of Red Mansion. Derogatory construction, which is a typical case in the work, holds unique properties and ＂好个 NP＂ cluster belongs to this category. Through the analysis of construction grammar, it is found that it usually highlights the accessibility in the syntactic structure, and reflects the derogatory in emotional representation. In the Comparison between translations of Yang Xianyi and Hawks, translators prefer the strategies focusing on forn~ or sense to reproduce various inforn, ation in ＂~＂ NP＂ construction subjectively. Under the bilingual circumstance, construction provides translators with multiple choices. However, the translation is often practiced in terms of the self cognition to determine the significance of information.
