摘要
分析了沃尔特·莫斯里小说《蓝衣魔鬼》中典型的空间意象,认为小说从物理空间变换后的自我迷失、心理空间异化中的精神畸变及社会空间压迫下的奋力抗争三个特定层面呈现了美国黑人的生活图景,再现了黑人群体在美国社会种族歧视与社会压迫境遇下的生存困境,以及他们为构建生存空间,争取自由、平等、尊严而进行的抗争。
The typical spatial imagery in Walter Mosley's novel Devil in a Blue Dress is analyzed.From the three aspects of self-lost after transformation of physical space,mental distortions in alienated psychological space,and arduous struggle under the oppression of social space,the blacks' panorama after being deprived of a living space for life and development is unveiled,which highlights their unfair and realistic tragedies of racial discrimination,reproduces the predicament of the black people in the United States and reveals their struggle for freedom,equality and dignity so as to build their living space.
