通过文献资料法、实地考察法,从柏格理来石门坎的历史背景;柏格理传播的体育思想;柏格理对贵州体育的影响几个方面进行研究,旨在揭开柏格理来贵州所传播的体育思想和做所的体育工作,并肯定柏格理为贵州学校体育和群众体育以及体育人才培养等方面发展所做的贡献。

Through literature and field method, the present papers studies the following three things ofthe historical background of Samuel Pollard’s coming to Shimenkan, the ideas of physical education hespread and his influence on Guizhou physical education, so as to uncover the ideas of physical educationhe spread in Guizhou and the physical educational work he did, and to affirm the contributions he madeto Guizhou in school physical education, mass physical education and fostering physical education talents.
