The theory of learning organization proposed by Peter Senge in The Fifth Disciplineis known to all.This paper analysis the way of thinking from this great mind and discovers the underlying mental model behind Senge′s theory of learning organization.We find that the five disciplines are deduced using a twodimensional coordinate thinking model,where we have＂individual-team＂on one dimension and ＂internalexternal＂on the other.The two-dimensional coordinate thinking model could be a simple yet highly effective thinking tool that is worth learning and mastering.To truly appreciate the great minds,we must understand not only their conclusions but their ways of thinking as well.
