苏伊士运河是在埃及境内,南北方向横跨苏伊士地峡,人工挖掘的无船闸海平面水道,其连接红海与地中海,该运河将非洲大陆与亚洲分隔开,且在欧洲与沿印度洋和西太平洋周边的陆地之间,提供了最短的海上航路。2015年8月6日,扩建后的苏伊士运河新航道开通。苏伊士运河由"苏伊士运河管理局"(SCA)负责管理、作业和维护,现行的SCA航行规则为2015年8月版,其与船舶设计、建造关系密切。文中对航行规则中的目次、舷梯和引水员软梯、系泊索、指示器、消防设备和起居舱室等作了介绍。
The Suez Canal is an artificially excavated sea-level waterway running from north to south acrossthe Isthmus of Suez in Egypt. It connects the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. The canal separates the African continent from Asia, and provides the shortest sea route between Europe and the lands along the Indian Accommodation Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean. The expanded New Suez Canal was open to transit on Aug. 6, 2015. The management, operation and maintenance of the Suez Canal are handled by the Suez Canal Authority (SCA). The current Suez Canal Rules of Navigation, version of August, 2015, is closely related to the ship design and construction. This article introduces the contents, accommodation and pilot ladders, mooring ropes, indicators, fire-fighting equipment and accommodation in the Rules of Navigation.
