The Enlightenment from Design Philosophy of Kengo Kuma——The Road of Architecture in Harmony with Nature

隈研吾是当今日本现存的建筑大师之一,其建筑设计作品充分吸收了和式建筑轻盈典雅之神韵,同时又兼有对自然环境的极大尊重与充分利用。通过对隈研吾迄今为止建筑设计思想演变的探究,尝试梳理出一条其理论发展变化的脉络,以期在建筑实践上得到一些启发,有助于结合我民族传统文化,走出一条与自然和谐的建筑之路。

Kengo Kuma is a master architect in Japan whose architectural design works absorb the spirit of traditional Japanese architectures, and meanwhile show great respect and full utilization of the natural environment. By exploring the transformation of Kengo Kuma＇s design philosophy, the essay- tries to analysis the development and change of his theory, which gives us some enlightenment on architectural practice. It helps to combine with our traditional culture, and find a new way in architecture which can get along well with the environment.
