活形态史诗对外翻译传播的新拓展——《集体记忆的千年传唱:〈格萨尔〉翻译与传播研究》评介

The New Expansion of the Living Epic Translation and Dissemination: The Review on the Millennium Song of Collective Memory: Study on The Translation and Dissemination of Gesar

作为一部长篇英雄史诗,《格萨尔》在我国文学史、翻译史上地位十分重要。这部世界文学珍品的英译研究,此前尚未得到应有的重视。王治国博士的大作《集体记忆的千年传唱:〈格萨尔〉翻译与传播研究》为活形态史诗对外翻译传播开辟了新途径。王治国在书中理清了《格萨尔》创作和翻译传播的起源发端、传承谱系和传播路线,以及主要版本之间的先后继承关系,对此作了开创性的努力。同时,从对《格萨尔》史诗域内域外的翻译梳理,提出了史诗传播的三条路线,即"欧洲汉学的域外关注、北美汉学的现代解读与中华大地的本土阐发"。尤其是根据当下经过以汉语本为中介的转译,提出了中国民族文学外译的翻译传播路线,发出重写中国翻译文学史的倡议。

As a heroic epic,Gesar is very important in the history of Chinese literature and translation history. But studies on the translation of this world literature treasure has not received due attention. Mr.Wang Zhiguo＇s masterpiece ＂The Millennium Song of Collective Memory： Study on The Translation and Dissemination of Gesar＂ opened up a new way for the living epic to be translated into foreign languages. In his book,Wang Zhiguo clarified the origin,inheritance and transmission lines of Gesar＇s creation and translation,and the successive inheritance relations between the major versions with pioneering efforts. At the same time,combing the translation of Gesar both inside and outside of China,he put forward three lines of epic communication,namely ＂the extraterritorial concerns of European sinology,the modern interpretation of North American sinology and the native interpretation of the Chinese earth＂. In particular,according to the current translation of the Chinese language as an intermediary,he proposed the dissemination route for the translation of Chinese ethnic literature,and issued an initiative to rewrite the history of Chinese translation literature.
