摘要
多模态隐喻理论为研究英语报刊中的图文隐喻提供了新的思路。本文以多模态隐喻理论为基础,结合批评隐喻分析,以《经济学人》两则封面漫画为研究对象,深入分析图文隐喻的意义构建,揭示其后隐藏的情感倾向和意识形态。同时,本文对在英语报刊阅读教学实践中引入多模态隐喻教学模式,对其可行性和有效性进行验证。实验结果表明,基于多模态英语理论的报刊阅读教学有助于提高学生的阅读理解能力、隐喻识解能力和批评思维能力。
The theory of metaphor pedagogy, the paper makes detail analysis of two cover comics of the Economist to disclose the ideological nature of them. Meanwhile, the paper takes a teaching practice to prove that it is practical and effective to apply the theory muhimodal metaphor in the teaching of college English newspaper reading to enhance student's metaphorical competence and cultivate their critical thinking ability.
