On Reading Guidance for Children by Librarians during the Republic of China

In the Republic period of China, children＇ s librarians were widely regarded by scholars as having the responsibility of guiding children to read. Librarians can guide children＇ s reading in the following three aspects： choosing books carefully, guiding children to use catalogs and guiding children to be familiar with the basic rules of li- brary. The discussion on the guidance of librarians in the Republic of China prolnoted the development of children＇ s librarianship at that time and had a far - reaching itffluence.
