On the Confucian Cultural Implication of Female Poetry in the 20th Century

儒家思想对中国现当代女性诗人的创作有着重要的的影响。受儒家忧患意识的影响,她们的诗歌表现出相当强的责任意识、使命意识、政治意识;受儒家"三从四德"、"三纲五常"观念的影响,她们自觉地认同贤妻良母、相夫教子的女性职责,承续了贞顺慈爱、娇柔贤淑、平和容忍的闺秀风范;受儒家"中和"思想的影响,她们的创作持守着"乐而不淫,哀而不伤"的原则,体现出庄重典雅、温柔敦厚、平正淡泊的创作特征。

Confucianism has an important influence on Chinese modern and contemporary female poets.Influenced by Confucianism＇s sense of concern,their poetry shows a strong sense of responsibility,mission consciousness,and political consciousness.Influenced by the Confucian concept of ＂three obediences and four virtues＂and ＂three classes and five regulars＂,female poets consciously agreed with the female duties of being agood wife and mother,serving both husband and children,and inherited the graceful demeanor of faithfulness,kindness,tenderness and tolerance.Influenced by the Confucian thought of ＂neutralization＂,their creation is based on the principle of the ＂joyous but not indecent,mournful but not depressing＂,reflecting the characteristics of solemnness and elegance,gentleness and honesty,lightness and peace.
