董永故里“山西万荣”说质疑

Doubt about Dong Yong's Hometown in Wanrong in Shanxi

董永故事,可谓家喻户晓,感人至深。董永籍贯,继"山东博兴"、"江苏东台"、"湖北孝感"等说之后,又有以孟繁仁、董大中等人为代表的"山西万荣"说。"山西万荣"说最有力的证据有二:一是称在山西万荣,且只有在山西万荣找到了七仙女的原型"田仙";二是认为董永是战国时期"魏孝子董永",而董永的时代只有山西万荣存在董姓。但在没有发现新的史料的情况下,"山西万荣"说与其他说一样,有其合理之处,也存在值得商榷之处。根据故事演变从简至繁的规律,相比较而言,董永籍贯为千乘,也就是今天的山东博兴更加可信。

Dong Yong＇s story is well-known and deeply touching.As for Dong Yong＇s hometown,after＂Boxing in Shandong＂,＂Dongtai in Jiangsu＂,＂Xiaogan in Hubei＂etc.,Meng Fanren and Dong Dazhong believed that＂Wanrong in Shanxi＂is Dong Yong＇s birth place.There were two most powerful evidences for＂Wanrong in Shanxi＂.Firstly,only in Wanrong in Shanxi could＂Tian Xian＂-the original of seven fairies be found.Secondly,Dong Yong was the dutiful son of Wei during the Warring States period,and there was only Wanrong in Shanxi which had the surname of Dong in Dong Yong＇s time.From the lack of new historical materials,＂Wanrong in Shanxi＂,like other theories,turns out to be reasonable and also questionable.According to the routine of story evolution from simple to complex,it is more believable that Dong Yong＇s hometown is in Qiansheng which is today＇s Boxing in Shandong.
