A Qualitative Study on the Social Interaction of Chinese Amateur Marathon Runners

摘要 以"YHM"微信群为个案,运用虚拟民族志等方法,从互动对象、互动符号和互动方式3方面对中国业余马拉松参与者的社会互动进行质性研究,旨在论证跑者如何在网络社会背景下通过社会互动建构个体的身份认同。研究发现:跑者互动对象的选择在很大程度上与个体在跑者群体中所处的"地位"有关;与线下以跑步为主的符号互动不同,虚拟社区的互动符号形式更为多样;个体对跑者身份的确认是通过互助与冲突等不同互动方式综合作用的结果。 Taking WeChat group of YHM as a case, the comprehensive application of the fictitious ethnography is used, from the interactive objects, symbols and interactive, this paper makes qualitative research on China, s amateur marathon runners ’ social interaction, aims to demonstrate how runners construct social interaction and individual identity under the background of network society. It was found out that the choice of interactive objects of runners was largely related to the "status" of individuals in the group of runners. Different from the offline running-oriented symbolic movement interaction, the interactive symbol form of virtual community is more diversified. The recognition of the identity of the individual runner is the result of different interactive ways such as mutual assistance and conflict.
