Objective: To explore the effects of health education combined with diet management on patients with diabetic ketoacidosis( DKA) and its influence on quality of life. Methods: 132 cases of DKA patients were randomly divided into two groups,of which 66 cases given routine nursing were selected as control group and another 66 cases given health education combined with diet management on this basis were selected as observation group. The nursing effects, quality of life, health education awareness and nursing satisfaction were observed and compared between the two groups. Results:The control time of blood glucose, correction time of acidosis and hospital stay in observation group were lower than those in control group( P〈0. 05). The scores of 4 dimensions of mental health, physical health, social function and material living conditions in observation group were all higher than those in control group( P〈0. 05). The awareness of health education was 87. 88%( 58/66) in observation group and 72. 73%( 48/66) in control group( P〈0. 05),and the nursing satisfaction were 95. 45%( 63/66) and 83. 33%( 55/66) respectively( P〈0. 05). Conclusions: Health education and diet management intervention for DKA patients can help quickly control blood glucose levels, speed up the progress of improving acidosis, and promote the early rehabilitation and discharge, thereby improving the quality of life and having high health education awareness and high nursing satisfaction.
