In Flowers created by Jin Yucheng,there are so many characters with complicated relationships. The creation of all the characters and portrayal of the scenes are for the expression of emotions. Through Bao,an image showing a great deal of the author himself,he traced two distinct groups of women in different times. The author is full of remembrance and recollection of the pure and kind women living in the 1960 s. But for women living in the 1990 s who are stuck in desires,the author has more complex emotions and thoughts. Finally,the complicated relationship between Bao and many women indicates the nothingness at the end of life,but exhibits the heartfelt respect for Shanghai. The analysis of these characters helps to better understand the author＇s emotions and the creation themes of this book.
