Evaluation of flooding damage to small reservoirs in North of Shaanxi Province and mitigation measures

陕北小型水库时常发生严重水毁,既影响下游安全,又带来泥沙问题。分析了陕北小型水库水毁情况及原因,从落实水库安全管理责任、工程维修养护经费、管理机构和专管人员,完善配套设施,推进排沙减淤等方面提出了对策。

Small reservoirs in North of Shaanxi Province often suffered from flooding damages that not only threaten the lower reaches of the river but also result in sedimentation problems. Based on reasoning of floods and damages, mitigation measures are proposed in the respects of specifying safety and management responsibilities, funding of operation and maintenance costs, assignment of management organizations and personnel, perfecting counterpart system and sediment discharge and reduction.
