It is known that NC machine operation training is an important part in the teaching for mechanical majors. However, it is of certain difficulty to master the operation methods of the complicated electromechanical equipment. To resolve the problem,an analysis was made of basic concepts,application and roles of Standard Operating Procedure（ SOP）,an important quality management tool in modern manufacturing industry,in practical training of NC machines,which will help with other related fields.
