基于语料库的英汉商务翻译中的显化研究 被引量:13

摘要 文章基于自建的英汉双语商务平行语料库,以人称代词和介词为例,探讨英汉商务翻译中的语际显化特征。研究发现:在商务文本中,总体来看,无论是人称代词还是介词的英汉翻译,显化策略运用得较为普遍。其中,第一人称代词翻译以对应关系为主,而第二人称代词翻译则显化现象较为明显,介词翻译中显隐化策略使用的频率相当。具体来看,36.0%的人称代词以及44.2%的介词在英汉翻译中都倾向于使用明示的显化策略,同时,25.6%的人称代词以及47.5%的介词使用了隐化策略。究其原因主要在于语言因素与文本因素。 Based on the statistics from a self-built English-Chinese parallel corpus,this study investigates the explicitation on personal pronouns and prepositions in English-Chinese business translation.Results show that generally speaking,explicitation is used quite frequently in the translation of both personal pronouns as well as prepositions,among which more correspondences exist in the translation of first personal pronouns,while the translation of second personal pronouns adopts the explicitation method more often.In addition,the frequency of using explicitation and implicitation is quite similar when translating prepositions.To be specific,explicitation is adopted in translating about 36.0% personal pronouns and 44.2% prepositions,while implicitation is preferred in translating 25.6% personal pronouns and 47.5% prepositions in English-Chinese translation.The main reasons lie in the differences between English and Chinese and the unique characteristics business texts normally possess.
