In the story entitled Woman Hollering Creek by Sandra Cisneros,Cleofilas grew up in the context of popular romantic TV programs and novels that were controlled by patriarchic politics,the mass media that contributed to the shaping of woman images. In her early years,Cleofilas was lost in the romantic fantasy about love. However,after her marriage,suffering from abuse and betrayal of her husband,Cleofilas began to awaken by associating her fate with that of La Llorona,or rather with the fate of women history. It was when she had the second baby,She was determined to hold her and her baby＇s fate with the help by another two feminists. This last step symbolizes her metamorphosis in consciousness. By Cleofilas＇ characterization,a modern interpretation of traditional woman archetype,Sandro Cisneros pioneers to new realm of possibility for women.
