A Lighthouse Illuminating Minds: Films as Psychological Studies

电影心理学是电影理论研究历史中一直存在的潜流,本文简要梳理了电影理论史中的几次明确的电影心理学思想,从影像与心像、蒙太奇与格式塔、心理材料与结构这三个方面进行说明,认为电影是不可见的人的心理运作过程的"外化"。电影与心理的对应关系使得电影研究与心理研究可以"双向互通",既可以像经典理论时期的相关论述一样,由心理而研究电影,也可以反其道而行之,将电影作为人们深入认识自我的有效路径。

Film psychoanalysis has been present through the history of film theories and this paper briefly reviews several thoughts in film psychoanalysis from three aspects:image and mental image,montage and Gestalt,psychological substance and structure and it argues films are the"externalization"of the invisible psychological process.The correlating relationship between film and psychology makes possible the"bilateral communication"between film study and psychological study,that is,like the relevant discussion in the period of Classical theory,film can be studied with a psychoanalysis and vice versa,people can take films as an effective approach to more self-knowledge.
