基于语料库的商务英语高频词trade的语义韵研究

A Corpus-based Study on the Semantic Prosody of Frequently Used Business Words:A Case Study of the Word Trade

语料库语言学的迅猛发展使得商务英语词汇搭配研究进入一个新的发展阶段。基于CQPweb第四代语料库分析工具,通过搭配词、类联接、语义倾向和语义韵研究对商务英语高频词trade的搭配特征进行了多方位的分析。研究发现,trade在商务英语语料库中多作名词使用,有七种典型类联接形式,不同类联接表现出不同的语义趋向,但总体语义韵是中性的。

The rapid development of corpus linguistic brings forth new methods for the study of lexical collocations in business English. Based on CQP web,a web-based fourth generation corpus analysis tool,this paper examines the use of frequently used business word trade from its collocation,colligation,semantic preference and semantic prosody. The results show that trade is commonly used as a noun in BEC corpus and has seven colligation types. Though different colligation types show different semantic preference,the overall semantic prosody of trade turns out to be neutral.
