Path Selection to Promote Development of Gerontological Social Work in China

人口老龄化进程加快已成为当前我国老年事业发展面临的严峻挑战,老年社会工作的独特优势成为助力积极老龄化的一剂良方。老年社会工作用专业的理论、方法和技巧协助老年人解决包括失能、空巢和丧偶等一系列问题,使老年人暮年生活充实而有价值。然而,当前我国老年社会工作发展面临着社会认同难题、专业化及职业化难题、资金缺口难题和政策法规缺位等难题,应从增强社会认同感、推进人才队伍建设、拓宽资金来源渠道和健全相关政策法规等方面入手,积极促进我国老年社会工作健康发展。

The rapid development of aging population has become a serious challenge for China. The professional theory,methods and techniques of gerontological social work can help the elderly to solve a series of problems including disability,empty nest and widowed,so that the elderly can enjoy a substantial and valuable life.However,the current gerontological social work development in our country is being confronted with social identity problem,specialization and professionalization problem,the funding gap problem,etc. We should start from strengthen social identity,promote the construction of the talent team,broaden the sources of funds,etc. We will actively promote the healthy development of gerontological social work in China.
