Higher education institutions contribute to student success in academic area and social adjustment in a significant and meaningful way. After an exchange program and through research, we found that the Ohio State University（OSU） enriches student experience by focusing on strategic fields like： ＂STEP＂ program, and career advising. OSU student affair department features student oriented ＂Big Student Life＂ and helps students in both academic success and personal development very well. The success OSU achieved in student affairs area and their belief ＂Student First＂ brings enlightenments and new perspectives to higher education institutions in China.
