Innovation and practice about experimental teaching content in hospitality information technology

以天津商业大学中美合作酒店管理专业酒店信息技术课程为例,针对该课程全英文授课环境下专业词汇难懂、理论知识宽泛、学生缺乏实际酒店业界运营管理经验和信息技术应用背景知识等问题,探索通过创新实验教学内容,设计配套实验项目,借助先进的实验教学平台,帮助学生系统地掌握理论知识,运用理论解决酒店业界运营中的实际问题,以达到学以致用的教学目的,提升教学质量。

Taking hospitality information technology course in hospitality management department of Tianjin University of Commerce as an example,students have challenges to learn many specialized information technology terminologies and a wide range of hospitality management theoretical knowledge under pure English environment because of lack of real working experience in hospitality industry. The innovative experiments contents and redesigned experimental projects under specified teaching platform are created and adopted to assistant students to master theoretical knowledge and increase the practical problem solving ability. The innovation and practice of experimental teaching have satisfied the course learning outcome and improved the quality of teaching.
