Synergistic Effect of DOPO Derivative Combined with OMMT on Flame Retardancy of Epoxy Resin

摘要 采用有机蒙脱土(OMMT)与苯乙基桥链9,10-二氢-9-氧杂-10-磷杂菲-10-氧化物(DiDOPO)对环氧树脂(EP)进行阻燃并制备阻燃环氧固化物。通过极限氧指数(LOI)、UL94垂直燃烧测试、锥形量热仪、热重分析对EP复合材料的阻燃性能、残炭微观结构、热稳定性能进行研究。并利用扫描电子显微镜、热重-红外联用分析仪研究OMMT与DiDOPO的协同阻燃机理。结果表明,OMMT与DiDOPO具有较好的协同阻燃作用,当OMMT与DiDOPO添加量均为2.5%时,EP固化物的LOI值高达29.1%,UL94级别为V-0级;在凝聚相中,层状硅酸盐片层向燃烧表面富集,并与DiDOPO生成致密阻隔层,起到隔热和分离的作用,而DiDOPO主要在气相中发挥一定的阻燃作用,主要是磷的释放对火焰产生抑制作用。 The organic montmorillonite (OMMT) and phenylethyl bridged 9, 10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DiDOPO) were used to improve the fiame retardancy of epoxy resin (EP). Limiting oxygen index (LOI),UL94 vertical burning test,cone calorimeter and TGA were used to study the flame retardancy,residual carbon microstructure and thermal stability of EP thermoset. The synergistic fiame retardant mechanism of OMMT and DiDOPO was studied by scanning electron microscopy and thermogravimetry-infrared. The results show that OMMT and DiDOPO have good synergistic flame-retardant effect. When 2.5% OMMT and 2.5% DiDOPO are added into epoxy resin,the LOI value of EP thermoset is as high as 29.1%,and the UL94 grade is V–0. In the condensed phase, the layered silicate sheets are concentrated on the combustion surface and form a dense barrier with DiDOPO,which acts as a heat insulator and separator. DiDOPO plays a certain role in the fiame retardant in the gas phase, and the release of phosphorus inhibits the fiame.
