This paper introduces the change of the energy flow in the working process of the inverter, and expounds the selection of the capacity of the inverter from the aspects of the motor capacity, the operation method, the operation mode and so on, which provides a reference for the selection of the capacity of the inverter. The driving system of belt machine in 5311 face of Zhaozhuang Coal Mine is verified.
