聊斋学夜话(一)

A night chat on Liaozhai Study

广义的蒲学和聊斋学,是一个一而二、二而一的问题;以"红学"的称名为标尺,不妨把整体的蒲松龄与《聊斋志异》研究称为"聊斋学",把狭义的蒲学研究称为"蒲学",置于"聊斋学"的框架之下。蒲氏一族何时定居淄川,至今仍是一个存在歧说而没有最后解决的问题,淄川蒲氏"‘自元代受秩’始迁淄川,其后遂土著焉"的说法不能成为定论。依据现有记载,可以把蒲氏阖族迁居满井庄的时间大致定于元末明初的四十馀年之间。至迟在明万历三十一年(1603),满井庄易名蒲家庄之事已经发生,路大荒《蒲松龄年谱》云事在"明末",应予辨正。前野直彬《蒲松龄传》云蒲璋曾改名杨元鼎,是一种由于误读文献而出现的错误,应予纠正。

In fact,the generalized definitions of Pu Study and Liaozhai Study are a same issue. For example,the definition of Red Study includes the re- searches of Cao Xueqin and A dream in Red Mansions. Hence,we can call the researches of Pu Songling and Liaozhai as＂Liaozhai Study＂. And define the spe- cific researches about Pu Songling as Pu Study,which can be a secondary dis- cipline of Liaozhai study. The exact date when Pu＇s extended family settled down at Zichuan hasn＇t been solved. Someone thought Pu＇s extended family had immigrated to Zichuan since they became local officer in Yuan Dynasty. But this opinion is not evidential. According to the existing materials,we can make sure that the time Pu＇s family immigrated to Manjing viliage ranges from the ending of Yuan Dynasty to the beginning of Ming Dynasty for about 40 years. At latest in 1603,Manjing viliage had changed its name to Pu＇s viliage. Lu Dahuang＇s Chronology of Pu songling claimed that it happened at the end- ing of Ming Dynasty. I can＇t agree with him. It should be corrected. Addition- ally,a Japanese scholar Qianyezhibin mentioned that Pu Zhang had changed his name as Yang Yuanding in his book Biography of Pu Songling. This is an error caused by his misunderstanding about some historical documents. It also should be corrected.
