摘要
老城区改造是快速城市化进程中不能回避的重要问题。"白塔寺再生计划"因北京国际设计周受到极大关注,似乎把老城区改造变成了一个纯粹的艺术设计问题。与国内同类案例相比,它因丰富的文化艺术活动、渐进式的更新方式和广泛的参与度而显得更为温和。通过对外显的艺术设计策略的分析,可以发现其实质在于空间功能的转变,涉及了开发者、设计者和使用者三方利益的相互作用。因此,可将其视为社会建构的过程,是艺术设计和创意活动掩饰下的权力与资本共谋的空间生产的结果,具有绅士化的趋势,与其它案例并无本质的不同。在动态城市的背景下,艺术设计工作者一方面应该认清该机制的巨大力量,另一方面应该建构更为合理的城市空间的乌托邦式想象。
The renewal transformation of the historic district is an important problem that can not be avoided in theprocess of rapid urbanization. Baitasi remade is famous from Beijing Design Week, and it seems to change the renewaltransformation of the historic district into a purely artistic design problem. Compared with similar cases in China,Baitasi remade seems more mild because of its rich cultural and artistic activities, progressive updates and extensiveparticipation. Through the analysis of the art design strategy, it can be found that its essence lies in the change ofspace function. It involves the interaction of the three parties of the developer, the designer, and the user. Therefore,it can be regarded as the result of the space production of power and capital which is under the mask of artistic designand creative activities, and it has a gentrification trend. In other words, it is the process of social construction and itis not essentially different from other cases. In the context of dynamic cities, art designers should recognize the greatpower of the mechanism, and construct a Utopian imagination of urban space which is more reasonable.
