Reception and Influence:The Canonization of Zhu Shenghao's Translation of Shakespeare Plays

从接受与影响的角度出发,以定量研究的方式统计了朱译莎剧的出版、入编教材的相关数据,分析译者如何通过自身的审美经验和翻译中的完型来满足读者的期待视野和审美习惯,进而探讨翻译文本的读者接受、出版发行及其作为教材的普及影响和翻译文学的本土化进程,认为诗学和赞助人是朱译莎剧经典化的重要因素。

This paper intends to specify the canonization of Zhu Shenghao's translation of Shakespeare plays from the perspectives of reception and influence, including statistics on the publication of Zhu's translation and plays selected by textbooks, and investigates how the translator, based on his own aesthetic experience and the gestalt in translation, gets closer to the expectational horizon and aesthetic custom of readers. Through analysis of reception, influence, and localization, it proposes that poetics and sponsors are the major factors contributing to the canonization of Zhu's translation.
