Philosophical Cognition of Craftsman Spirit and Engineering Reason

通过对工匠精神的哲学认识,揭示工匠精神的哲学内涵:祈真、至善、唯美,在哲学层面上分析工匠精神与工程理性的关系,提出工程理性是工匠精神的源泉。在工匠精神的演变过程中,价值理性旨在预设一种对特定行为内在价值的判断和肯定,而工具理性则表征一种特定行为可计算性的计量和确定,两者都以此作为理性化的方向和路径。在工程理性中,价值理性与工具理性互为条件,相得益彰,共同支撑着工匠精神的完善与升华。

Through the philosophical understanding of craftsmanship, the philosophical connotation of artisan spirit is revealed, which is the pursuit for truth, kindness, and beauty, and the relationship between craftsmanship and engineering rationality is also analyzed on the philosophical level, and the idea of engineering rationality is the source of craftsmanship is put forward. In the process of the evolution of craftsmanship, value rationality aims at presupposing a judgment and affirmation of the intrinsic value of a particular behavior, while instrumental rationality represents the measurement and determination of the calculability of a specific behavior, both of them are taken as the direction and path toward rationality. In engineering rationality, value rationality and instrumental rationality are interdependent, and jointly support the improvement of the craftsmanship spirit.
