摘要
关联理论强调交际作为一种明示——推理过程,英语阅读理解可视为作者明示交际意图、读者推理话语意义的交际活动,其中,文本信息与读者认知的最佳关联是获得最佳语境效果的重要途径。笔者通过实验证明,在英语阅读教学中,明确阅读目的、设置阅读任务、构建认知语境,有助于帮助学生架设最佳关联,加强学生对文本中明示信息的推理能力,从而提高阅读理解的准确性与效率。
Relevance Theory emphasizes that communication is an ostensive-inferential process,and reading comprehension could be regarded as a means of communication in which the writer manifests his/her communication intention and the reader infers from the discourse codes. Thereinto,the optimal relevance between the textual information and the reader 's cognition is an essential method to reach the optimal contextual effects. Through the research,this paper has proved that confirmation of reading aim,setting of reading assignments and construction of cognitive context can help English majors comprehend the optimal relevance,and enhance their inference capability with the result of improvement of reading accuracy and efficiency.
