黄媛贞是贵阳知府朱茂时的副室。家庭的经济状况使她无须为衣食操劳,其远离政治、与社会相隔离的生存方式,审美化、自娱性的家居生活决定了她创作的文本基本上是消遣性的,描写的是闺中的生活场景,采用的是风花雪月类的意象,孕育的是慵懒的人生态度,传播的是个人的闺怨情调,其词作表现出游戏式的自遣色彩、闲吟式的书写品貌和香柔的铅粉气。其诗词的情感力量主要源自亲缘关系和婚姻家庭。无论是待字闺中,还是嫁为人妻,黄媛贞的诗词中总是萦绕着几许感伤愁怨。依据其感伤内涵的不同,大致可把这种愁怨悲苦情绪划分为四种类型:一是春闺之情困与幽怀;二是离别中的情感缺憾;三是伤春悲秋的闲愁;四是痛失亲友的悲楚。黄媛贞的创作文本代表了秀水朱氏家族中女性的声音,给我们提供了这个世家大族女性情感状态的个案。

As a concubine of the magistrate of Guiyang,Zhu Maoshi,Huang Yuanzhen stayed away from politics and enjoyed an artistic domestic life without struggling for living. This kind of aesthetic lifestyle set the tone of her literary creation which is recreational. The texts about her boudoir life described by romantic images reveal a lazy life attitude and convey the mood of boudoir complain. Her works show the emotion of her own amusement,the taste of idle chant-writing style and tender femininity. The emotional power of her poetry mainly stems from her kinship,marriage and family. No matter her not betrothed yet,or married,Huang Yuanzhens poetry is always haunted by many sentimental melancholy. According to the different sentimental connotations,this melancholy sad mood can be roughly divided into four types： feeling trapped in boudoir,emotion loss during separation,grief over the passing of spring and the advent of autumn,and bereaved grief. Huang Yuanzhens works represent the female voice in Zhu family and provide an individual case of the emotional state of aristocratic females.
