This article introduced objective pain assessment tools and its application status in ICU patients with adult mechanical ventilation,and proposed to develop an objective pain assessment tool for assessing ICU patients with adult mechanical ventilation,which suit for Chinese culture,in order to improve the patient＇s pain management and their prognosis.
