中国是世界现代化潮流的后来者,也是世界现代化潮流的积极追赶者和勇敢创新者。通过40年的改革开放,中国迅速而全面地推进现代化进程,大踏步地赶上时代潮流,实现了从追赶世界到融入世界进而影响世界的历史性跨越。在追赶世界现代化步伐的进程中,毛泽东时代的中国为引领和推动现代化进程做了三件大事,中国改革者通过探索拓展了现代化的理论和实践,领导中国人民开创、坚持和发展了中国道路,并最终得出一个结论:中国共产党的领导是中国现代化进程的最本质特征和最大政治优势。

China is a latecomer in the modernization tide of the world,and also an active pursuer and courageous innovator in the modernization tide of the world. Through the reform and opening-up started 40 years ago,China has promoted the process of modernization rapidly and comprehensively,caught up with the tide of the times and realized the historical leap-forward from running after the world to integrating into the world and to influencing the world. During the process of catching up with the paces of global modernization,China of the Mao Zedong era did three great things for boosting modernization,and the reformists expanded the theoretical and practical connotations of modernization,led Chinese people to create,uphold and develop the Chinese road,and finally reached a conclusion that the CPC’s leadership is the most essential feature and the biggest political advantage of the modernization process of China.
