The Six Points of Requirements for the Self Building of the Politburo Placed by Xi Jinping since the Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC

习近平总书记十九大后主持召开中央政治局民主生活会,针对中央政治局建设的新形势和新任务,对中央政治局自身建设提出了六个新要求:贯彻落实一个主要任务,中央政治局的同志要把贯彻落实十九大确定的目标任务作为当前工作的主要任务;明确一个重大建党原则,中央政治局的同志要自觉维护党中央权威和集中统一领导;消灭一个敌人,中央政治局的同志要同形式主义、官僚主义进行坚决斗争;做好一个基本功,中央政治局的同志要大兴调查研究之风;树立一种好形象,中央政治局的同志要清白做人、干净做事;进行一场伟大斗争,中央政治局的同志要时刻进行具有许多新的历史特点的伟大斗争。

General Secretary Xi Jinping presided over the democratic life meeting of the Politburo after the Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC and,aimed at the new situation and new mission of the building of the Politburo,brought forward six points of new requirements on the self building of the Politburo： to carry through a major task,that is,the comrades of the Politburo must treat the targeted goal defined in the Nineteenth National Congress as the main task of current work; to explicitly set an important principle of party building,that is,the comrades of the Politburo must maintain the authority and centralized,unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee; to defeat an enemy,that is,the comrades of the Politburo must stoutly fight against formalism and bureaucratism; to do well a basic training,that is,the comrades of the Politburo must form an atmosphere of investigation and research; to set a good image,that is,the comrades of the Politburo must be honest and do things cleanly; and to conduct a great struggle,that is,the comrades of the Politburo must carry out the great struggle with a lot of new historical characteristics from time to time.
