In this paper, we discuss some key issues of the open hole sidetrack drilling： the optimal basis of the side tracking point; choosing the best sidetracking tool with the bottomhole mechanics analysis model; judgment basis on the well field after using rational parameters to drill into the new hole.The sidetrack drilling technique has been successfully applied to xx well, indicating that the above techniques are fully adapted to the sidetrack needs of the block.
