Objective To investigate the effects of electrical stimulation and biofeedback on prevention of postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction and its effect on pelvic floor muscle contractility. Methods Eighty puerpera who were hospitalized in our hospital from September 2000 to June 2017 were enrolled as subjects. According to the number of patients who were admitted to our hospital were divided into control group( odd number,n = 40) and intervention group( even numbers,n =40). The puerpera in control group were treated by traditional training, however, the puerpera in intervention group were treated by electrical stimulation + biofeedback. After treatment, the intervention effects, pelvic floor muscle strength improvement status were observed and compared between two groups. Results The total effective rate was 92. 50% in intervention group, which was superior to that( 70%) in control group( P〈 0. 05). Before intervention, there were no significant differences in type Ⅰ and Ⅱ muscle strength, fatigue degree, nocturia frequency and vaginal muscle voltage value between two groups( P〉 0. 05),however,after intervention, these indexes were improved in both groups, moreover, the improvement degree in intervention group was more significant than that in control group( P〈 0. 05). Conclusion Electrical stimulation + biofeedback can effectively improve the contractile force of pelvic floor muscle of puerpera, thus, which has high application value.
