Research on the Development of Surveillance Video Synopsis

视频监控作为人类视觉功能的延伸,在诸多领域有着广泛的应用。如何有效的传输、存储和检索视频成为当前面临的难题,视频浓缩作为有效的解决方案能够提供高效的视频浏览、节约大量的存储空间。本文从视频浓缩相关系统、学术成果和算法研究三方面综述了研究进展,指出了存在的问题及发展趋势,为视频浓缩领域的研究人员提供参考。

As an extension of the visual function,video surveillance has been widely used in many fields. How to effectively transmit,storage and retrieval surveillance video has become a significant problem,as an effective solution,video synopsis can provide efficient video browsing and reduce the video size greatly. This paper gives the research progress from three aspects： related system,academic achievements and the video synopsis algorithm,the existing problems and future trend are also given. This paper can service as a reference for the researchers in the field of video synopsis.
