称谓是人们用于指代称呼对象、识别身份以及交际中角色关系定位的特定语言符号系统,是语言学、符号学、社会学、人类学等学科领域的热点话题之一。可使用斯波斯基的语言管理方法,分析热播电视剧《外来媳妇本地郎》中粤语亲属称谓的使用情况并从中了解家庭语言的代际传承问题及客厅文化。

The address terms make a particular system of linguistic symbols used for naming the addressee, defining his identity, role, and relationship with other participants in the course of communication. Naturally, it attracts intense attention ranging over linguistics, semiotics, sociology, anthropology, and etc. In view of further promoting the research, inheritance, and development of Cantonese culture, this paper focuses on Cantonese kinship terms used in the hit TV series Foreign Wife, Local Husband from the perspective of language management by Bernard Spolsky, hoping to get a glimpse of the intergenerational transition of family discourse and culture.
