While the Big-Data thinking pattern reflects its advantages in higher education, it brings challenges from the perspectives of decision-makers, educator and educational environment. The higher education should give full play to the guiding role of Marx theory, prevent the alienation of the Big Data thinking pattern, affirm the main position of higher education and rely on characteristic advantages of China＇s higher education, and only in this way can the higher education fully cope with the challenges of Big Data and use Big Data well.
