In the adaptation of Red Sorghum, Zhang Yimou handled complexity by simplicity,focused on extraction in the numerous theme connotation of two themes, love and life. Around the new topic, He adjusted the plot, selected new images, created typical characters and built the special scenario. These incredible techniques expressed the colourful love story and displayed the strong impulsion of life.
