Assessment of investment opportunities in Egyptian oil refining field

2018年,埃及政府将该国油气现代化的重点放在下游领域。阿拉曼炼油化工基地项目和苏伊士运河经济区炼油化工基地项目建设、老旧炼油厂升级改造、炼厂私有化等,是埃及炼油领域存在的投资机遇。埃及的政治经济形势虽然逐步向好,但是军人政治、腐败问题以及现行外汇管理体制所造成的不稳定因素仍然存在,增加了投资风险。埃及炼油领域是"一带一路"倡议所鼓励的对外合作领域,应鼓励炼化工程、原油贸易、油品销售、金融结算等板块加快进入埃及市场,优先考虑阿拉曼炼油化工基地项目,打造中国企业优质的炼化品牌。

In 2018, the Egyptian government focuses on the downstream areas of the country＇s oil and gas modernization. The investment opportunities in the oil refining industry in Egypt include the construction of the Alamein refinery chemical base project, the refining and chemical base project of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, the upgrading of the old refineries, and the privatization of the refineries. Although the political and economic situation in Egypt has gradually improved, the unstable factors caused by military politics, corruption and the current foreign exchange management system still exist, which increases the investment risk. The refining industry in Egypt is an area of foreign cooperation encouraged by China＇s the Belt and Road Initiatives. Refining and chemical engineering, crude oil trade, oil product sales, financial settlement and other sectors should be encouraged to speed up their entry into the Egyptian market, the priority should be given to Alamein refinery and chemical base project to build a high-quality refining brand for Chinese enterprises.
