Objective To explore the policy composition,main content and policy effect of American pharmaceutical industry policy system.And then to gain key enlightenment from it to improve and perfect Chinese pharmaceutical industry policy system.Methods To collect American pharmaceutical industry policy,laws,information and related statistical data by literature research,then to analyze the key content and policy effect of the policy system.Conclusion The policy system has clear goals,strict medicine management and good patent protection.It also works in concert.It greatly promotes the innovation and development of pharmaceutical industry.It considers the vulnerable groups＇ ability to pay as well.All these have important implications for perfecting Chinese pharmaceutical industry policy.
