Loading arm is a kind of safe,highly effective and environment-friendly loading and unloading instrument widely used in chemical industry.This paper introduces the method for calculating the loading arm number of truck and train loading and analyzes the requirements for loading and unloading different chemical medium and the basis for loading arm selection.Based on actual engineering experience,this paper presents various types of common loading arm,discusses the problems needing attention in layout of loading platform equipment for trucks and trains and sum up some worthwhile engineering experience.
