Internet catchwords is not only a fashionable symbol for young people to express their individuality, but also a vivid reflection of youth＇s cultural mentality and value orientation. The rapid development of internet catchwords has posed a new challenge to the dissemination and identification of contemporary youth＇s socialism core values. It＇s shown as follows： the alienation of network leisure leading to the erosion of universal value and meaning, information fragmentation collage and deconstruction bringing value cavitation, network ＂symbolic＂ communication causing the identity loss and belief confusion of the value subject. In order to realize the cultivation of youth core values in the context of internet buzzwords, we need to dynamically judge internet buzzwords so as to grasp the value orientation of youth, to realize the identification of core values with the help of catchwords, to promote youth discourse empowerment so as to achieve socialist core values youth, and to face up to the implicit value expression of catchwords so then reshape the mainstream value of young people.
