The Love of a Good Woman, one of the representative works of Alice Munro, tells a story of love, murder and secret, which not only embodies the author’s excellent narrative skills but also reflects her ecological awareness and ecological outlook. With a narration of the everyday life of Wally, the book provides an ecological portrayal of the town： nature invaded by human activity, family members alienated from each other and the heroine Enid entrapped in spiritual conflicts. The short story shows Munro’s deep concern over the ecology of her hometown and her hope for the integration of human into nature and their harmonious coexistence.
