明末武将刘肇基史事补考

Supplementary Research on Historical Biographies of the Military Officer Liu Zhaoji in the Late Ming Dynasty

明朝末年,辽东人刘肇基世袭武职,战功累累,渐成宿将,南明弘光元年(1645年)四月随史可法殉难扬州。依据新近发现的明末档案,证实其在升任游击前曾任职都司,补充了刘肇基的职官履历。崇祯十二年冬至崇祯十三年九月,刘肇基一度统帅八营。其崇祯十三年九月至十六年五月的主要经历本无史书论及,然补考可知:期间刘肇基虽无职无权,却心怀报国之志,曾随清军远征,长达半年。崇祯十六年五月,朝廷拟起用刘肇基,委以总镇,派往楚地,却终未成行,足见崇祯帝对其器重有加。

In the late Ming Dynasty,Liu Zhaoji,born in Liaodong province,was a hereditary military officer and achieved the illustrious military exploits,who gradually became an experienced veteran general and died in Yangzhou as a follower of Shi Kefa,a national hero,in April of the 17th year of Chong Zhen period. Based on the newly discovered archives in the late Ming Dynasty,this article confirms that he had served as a director before he was promoted to guerrillas,which supplements his curriculum vitae and life career as an officer.
