摘要
《汕头方言音义字典》所采用的罗马字拼音方案与耶士摩的方案大同小异,《马太到使徒》所采用的罗马字拼音方案是英国长老会传教士在潮汕地区创制的拼音方案。这两种方案从整体上看区别不大,但细究起来还是在声母、韵母和声调系统中存在许多差别,这些差别的存在正体现了罗马字拼音方案的不断进步与完善。
The Romanized orthographysystemthat The Dictionary of the Swatow Dialect used is similar to William Ashmore's, while the orthography system used in Matthew to Acts is created by English Presbyterian missionaries. The two systems are similar on the whole, but different in many details under scrutiny. These differences reflect the improvement and perfection of the Romanized orthography system.
