摘要
Task-based approach is widely used at home and abroad in the field of foreign language teaching as a new teaching method, but application of TBA to English reading comprehension in high school is still in the theoretical analysis and practical exploration stage in our country. In this thesis, the background and the development of the task-based teaching method are explained briefly, and introduction to the application of task-based approach to English reading comprehension in high school is made comparatively detailed. High school English reading learning, in the TBA to a language learning, is the practice of "learn by doing" in the best way. Facts prove that the ultimate goal of any foreign language learning is to communicate.
